Leadlighting and stained glass classes in Townsville

Learn the latest techniques in lead lighting and stained glass making through 8 week classes offered by Townsville Stained Glass. Their leadlighting class provides you with the skills to make a lamp shade, mirror and a lead light panel. There is a choice of four class sessions each week and the fee includes your basic tool kit and a work board.

The age old art of lead lighting began back in the 10th century and the techniques have been handed down through the times. Stained glass or more appropriate art glass is all around us today. The rise of the individual artist, new technologies, and the growing interest in stained glass as a hobby craft, has led to a new golden age in glass.

Come along to our classes and enjoy learning to work with a different and exciting medium. They run four eight week leadlighting classes throughout the year at their premises in Townsville. There is a choice of four class sessions each week (ie day, night and weekend). They supply all material for the first lead light project, extra tools are provided for use in the class.

They also carry a wide range of glass so your projects become a personal work of art. Search for Townsville Stained Glass under the 'Craft' category and book your stained glass workshop today!
