English school based in Cairns and Brisbane

Are you looking to study English courses or know of someone overseas who would like to learn English in Australia? The Australian College of English (ACE) has campuses in Brisbane and Cairns, Queensland.

ACE Cairns offers the following:
  • English Language courses to non-native speakers
  • General English
  • Cambridge FCE and CAE
  • Business English
  • IELTS
  • TESOL for non-native speakers

The main course running year round is Power English. This is a general English Course starting any Monday, studying grammar, conversation, pronunciation, listening, and writing.

Other courses available:

  • Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) - 10 or 12 week course, usually runs 3 times per year
  • Cambridge Advanced Certificate (CAE) - 10 or 12 week course, usually runs 3 times per year
  • Business English - 8 week course, usually runs 2 times per year
  • IELTS exam preparation (International English Language Testing System: used for visa applications through Australian Immigration) - 8 week course, usually runs 1 or twice a year

They also have courses running through ATTC - Australian TESOL Training Centre and these courses are designed specifically for non-native speakers, the courses are as follows:

  • English For Teaching Children (EfTC) - 5 week course, usually runs 2 times per year
  • English for Teaching Teenagers (EfTT) - 5 week course, usually runs 2 times per year
  • TESOL Skills module - 5 week course, usually runs once year
  • TESOL Language module - 5 week course, usually runs once a year
