New craft class offered

A new craft technique is now being offered in the Mackay and Sarina areas in Queensland. These classes are offered by Tascia Mare who teaches the craft of decoupage (the art of cutting, arranging and gluing pictures to a surface to create a beautifully finished product). Tascia teaches a range of different forms of decoupage including paper cut-outs, fabric and the new technique of paper napkins (serviettes).

The serviette decoupage technique is an effective and easy technique which is offered nowhere else in Australia. These classes teach you to create your own unique and inexpensive gifts and homewares using decorative paper serviettes to decorate just about any surface including glass, wood, candles, galvanised steel, ceramics, soaps, porcelain, enamel and fabric. Some of these methods are so simple you will be amazed at how quickly your project is to complete.

Tascia also offers classes in 3D decoupage which uses paper serviettes and clay. This technique takes a little longer, but you will be amazed at how your projects come to life. The products used in these classes are available nowhere else in Australia. For example, the product used for paper serviettes on glass, makes the decorated glass item hand washable in warm water, whilst the product used for serviettes on fabric, makes the finished fabric item machine washable. The original idea for the website, was sparked by an interest in teaching, in art and in craft-type classes. This idea later developed to incorporate a wider range of classes, courses, workshops, training sessions, lesson or tutoring facilities.
